I read all the Darkest Minds books a few years ago. I loved the characters and the premise of kids who developed special powers and how they were (mis)treated by the adult society struggling to understand them, who mostly just feared them and wanted them gone. The story was really well developed, and I'm so excited to hear the continuation of this world from Zu's point of view. In the original books, she's one of the youngest characters, so she doesn't get a whole lot of time dedicated to her POV. However, she has been gifted with very dangerous powers, which she was struggling to accept and control (and will likely continue in this book). The times when we do hear from Zu (she doesn't speak much...), she's clever and strong. I am anticipating another compelling read from Ms. Bracken, and I am (im)patiently waiting for the release date. In the meantime, I'm planning a binge-read of the first three books (well, four) in preparation. Everyone should check out this book!
