I haven’t read the series connected to this book so the beginning of the excerpt was definitely a struggle for me to understand the world of the story, but I gradually became more intrigued as it went along with the attempts on her life, and while that and other aspects of her life I can’t necessarily relate to, going silent as a comfort thing for her, that’s something I can identify with. I really like the cover, the image of the girl is quite striking, as is the sky.
