True Crime and 70's LA Equals Perfect Combination

This sounds like something out of an old seventies television show or movie. Flashy LA types open a new business in an old mansion and hire a contractor. I can see trouble coming without even reading the synopsis. I'm not sure this is the book for me, but it does sound interesting with a great cast of characters.
