The story was like a rollercoaster: there were bursts of intense action or suspense and then it sidetracks or cools down with long narratives that kill the momentum, then it picks back up in the next chapter. I get really interested and then the story jumps to another person or another time so I get confused. I can't tell what the story is about and where it's going so I don't think this is the book for me. The writing is good during the interesting scenes but I get bored or lost in the sections in between.
