I found myself shifting between being on the edge of my seat and being confused. The description of whats happening is so well done I feel the fear being described. However between those descriptions are notes that seem long winded and not to fit. There are compare and contrast sentences about the 1970's vs now. They want on a bit too long taking me out of the moments the character is experiencing.
