I totally enjoyed The Counselors, my first summer thriller.
Goldie is a local resident of her elite summer camp thanks to her parents working there, but her two best friends and her have all grown up together spending summers together. They’re graduating from high school, and now as counselors, this will be the last summer they spend together. But this year, they’re all coming with secrets. Life has changed and they’re not the best friends that they once were.
This YA thrill ride is a perfect, easy beach read for summertime. I loved the youth camp setting which transported me back in time, and the writing in this one was really good. It was a quick, crazy ride. Targeted something about a Forest setting that already sets up a thriller to be a success. I don’t read a lot of YA, so when I do, I want it to be really good and I thought it was really good! I’m looking to see what this author comes out with next!
