This is the kind of fun, sun-drenched YA thriller that I usually love to read, and this opening does not disappoint. It's got great summer vibes, a solid friendship with secrets and possible betrayals to dive into, and it's got a seemingly solid mystery as well. Can't wait to read the whole thing.
