This first impression introduces us to the bucolic camp setting in Vermont where kids of wealthy families spend their summer. But the author builds suspense leaving nuggets of some recent past event that has made Goldie the town pariah. I'm definitely intrigued to see how the summer plays out for Goldie as she reunites with her long-time camp friends now that they're serving as counselors. There's tension between the campers and the townies as well as Goldie's past and present. This seems like a good beach read - something to take on vacation to immerse yourself over a summer break.
