Summer Camp Nostagia... with a Few Secrets & Dark Foreshadowing
I've heard of this author before, but haven't had the chance to read her work. The Counselors starts off giving you that nostalgic and safe summer camp feel while also foreshadowing the tragedy to come.
The story rotates between two timelines - then and now - in Goldie's life at the camp. It was a little confusing at first, but once you read a few pages it became much more cohesive. I'm really intrigued by the subtle hints of dark secrets and foreboding events to come. I can't wait to find out what happens!
