I really, like this book and am dying to know what happens next. The book starts off with a mystery from the beginning, the accident. Why is Goldie's life ruined? What did she do? Was someone else involved? Then we meet Ava and Imogen and that brings a lot of tension. It is obvious from the beginning that this is an unequal friendship since Ava and Imogen spend a lot more time together. How will this group dynamic play out and evolve throughout the course of the book? There is also the differences in social class and economic class that separates Goldie from the other counselors which adds in even more tension. How will these differences separate Goldie? Will they cause her to repent some of counselors? Her friends? This is a very good book that sets everything up so nicely for a very compelling story. I really like the cover because it represents the camp and Goldies status as a lifeguard (the most coveted job). I would really like to continue reading this book so I can answer the many questions that I have and see how all of the tension will play out.
