I am glad to finally see a book I think is OK so far after a stretch of some average picks (IMO). I do like the cover; it’s not over the top or standing out, but it accurately coveys the genre/potential plot to a reader and encapsulates the camp/summer settings. From the excerpt, I think this one is set up as a decent start to a YA thriller/suspense. I don’t know what exactly would separate the typical thriller from YA, perhaps some of the content? This one sounds fine so far
