The Connellys of County Down suffered from characters that were too similar to Lange's previous book!! I kept getting flashbacks of characters from We Are the Brennans. The characters were all pretty one-dimensional and seemed only to fit into molds. The mess-up, the responsible one, the one with a kid. Nothing groundbreaking here. I didn't really care for Tara's relationship with Brian. I felt it moved too fast and was unnecessary. I hated HATED her sister, I don't even remember her name but she was a terrible human being. Also, this book ended very abruptly but also didn't really end...the biggest loose end is still a loose end! I was very disappointed by that. I also would have liked every chapter to start with a piece of the story their mom used to make up about them, I wanted more of the story within the story. I guess I'm not a huge fan of family dramas and this sure was a family drama. The cover is pretty but I don't feel like it has anything to do with the book.
