This is a story of love, loyalty, and family dynamics. Complicated family dynamics but backed by love and devotion to one another. It gave me a little bit of Shameless, on HBO, vibes and I LOVED that show. Tara is incredibly dedicated to her family to a fault and when she gets out of prison, that doesn't change. She gets into a few complicated situations and you just feel for her so much. It’s as though she can’t catch a break when truly she is the person that deserves grace more than anyone else. I loved how this told a story of someone struggling with mental health issues and someone dealing with a TBI but done so eloquently. I always enjoy when disabilities or illness has representation in a book when it is done well. I wanted even more and I wasn't prepared for it to end. This was an absolute must read and just a really beautiful story. I cannot recommend this book enough.
