I absolutely adored Meet the Brennan's and I was was so happy to see a new book from Tracey Lange. Her books just hit me right in the feels. Tracey Lange writes family drama impeccably and creates characters that feel honest and real. In this book she took us through so much. Beginning with prison and then moving on yo the suburbs, this family had ups and downs (a lot of downs) but through it all, the characters growth and development was compelling and had me hooked.
I’m a summer for family drama, but make it messy and I’m definitely there! The sibling dynamics. Amazing. This book and Meet the Brennans both wrapped up a little more quickly than I would have liked. It felt like she was maybe just over it, but I could have used about twenty five more pages in the end to wrap up the story in less of a hurry.
Still…Four and a half stars for me. • I loved it.
