4.5 Stars! I liked this family drama about Tara's adjustment to life outside of jail. We are introduced to her as she is leaving jail and how she helps her family including her sister and brother after she is out. The different perspectives of the family members and how they stuck by each other through various challenges. We see their mistakes and also their successes. The backstory and how it flashback was so well done and seamless throughout.
This is a slow developing family drama and I loved getting to know the small town and the characters! I highly recommend this book if you enjoyed the show The Bear, it is very different but reminds me of the power of family and not to give up even when 100 things are pushing you down. I will be reading more backlist books by this author because I loved her writing and thought of the characters long after I finished reading!
