I loved We Are The Brennans, so I was very excited to read Tracey Lange's latest, The Connellys of County Down. This family drama is about three siblings whose mother had passed away and their father left them. Geraldine, Eddie and Tara struggled to just survive and stay out of foster care. Now adults, the book starts with Tara being released from prison, and as she becomes involved with Brian, one of the policeman who had put her there, we find things are not always as they seem. All three Connelly siblings have their deep, dark secrets. It certainly kept my attention and kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next! Can an ex convict and a cop make it work? Will their secrets catch up to them, resulting in more Connelly convictions? Can Brian be trusted, do what's right and be the kind of policeman he knows he should be? There's some humor too... a very enjoyable read that I recommend.
