I thought this book was enjoyable. It was easy to read. It has some surprises, a mystery, and a love interest or two! Dysfunctional family stories entice me and this family sure has some issues. Three siblings are on their own after being deserted by the parents. As each sibling tries to save the other they lose their sense of identity and in turn fail. The author makes the reader feel for each of them and sympathize with their situation. I read We Are the Brennans by Tracey Lange and as much as I liked it I can honestly say that I like the Connelly’s better. I hope to read another book by this author. Oh one last thing. Even though the Connellys have issues like any other family I believe deep down they care for each other and love them in their own way. Yes I recommend this book if you like dysfunctional family stories and even if you don’t! It’s a good one!
