I first fell in love with Tracey Lange's writing with We Are the Brennans. Lange gave readers a beautiful story - centered on family with a strong female lead. Whenever I find a new author with an exceptional first write, I am always anxious for their next novel. There was, however, no need to worry; Lange gives us another beautifully imagined story - again centered on family with a strong female lead. Tara is a character that you want to fight for from the book's first page, and she is not alone in this sentiment; the reader will also want to fight for her siblings and new love. We all make mistakes, we all fall short, we all do things for love (for better or for worst), but through it all, it helps us grow and learn what is really important in life. Tara fights for herself, but she also fights for the people that she loves and cares for even more.
