Family dramas are hit or miss for me but this was a hit! Lange’s writing is fantastic and I loved the way it made her characters come alive.
The Connelly’s -like the rest of us- are flawed, but they have a bond that is irreplaceable. I loved Tara’s character from the beginning even despite her being in prison for drug charges. It was easy to tell she actually had a good head on her shoulders. I loved the way her siblings- Eddie and Geraldine- evolved through the story. Especially Geraldine because she was not a likable or relatable character for me in the beginning. I also enjoyed how their feelings and attitudes towards each other changed. Tara really evolved from being guarded to becoming more trusting as time went on.
As a lover of twists, I did see most of the twist coming but it was still very satisfying!
I highly recommend this for anyone enjoying a good family drama!
