We are the Connellys is about three siblings who grew up without parents in their lives. The youngest Tara, is recently released from prison. The book details her transition back to society and how her family deals with her return.
This book took me forever to get through. I couldn't really connect with any of the characters and most of the book was set up. There's not too much plot happening and its more about interpersonal relationships which isn't my sort of book.
There was a romantic angle that they were trying to sell throughout the book but I never felt any real chemistry between Brian and Tara.
I thought the writing of the author was good. The dialogue was believable and flowed well. But there was no part of me that could care about what happened to any of the characters. The plot is so slow and it takes forever, for anything important to occur.
