Another family saga, character driven story by Tracey Lange that’s full of characters that love each other, make some questionable choices and push the line of how far you’ll go for your family.
Loved the cover of this book and it immediately wanted me to get my hands on it! (The old adage don’t judge a book by its cover did not apply here). I found this story to be mild, a little predictable and the some of the characters you’d want to root for (like Geraldine) unlikeable. While I get that families sometimes aren’t as forthcoming or honest at times, this kind of pushed the limit for me. Tara seemed to always jump the gun and her siblings kind of let her get into a mess they’d later regret- made me wonder, how can grown people continue to make awful mistakes.
Three stars for keeping me invested enough to finish this novel. If you like family sagas with Character driven plots this one is for you.
