From the opening paragraph, this novel reminded me very strongly of the TV series Shameless—it will be interesting to see if that comparison holds true throughout. So far, this seems like a heartfelt family drama with some potential twists related to Officer Nolan (hopefully not a romance). The cover is rather generic so it’s hard to tell the contents but it is eye catching and in line with We Are the Brennans.
