I never got around to reading the author's previous book ,"We Are the Brennans," but this one has the same feel that made me want to read that one. I love that the book opens with Tara still being in prison; because I didn't read the summary, it was a surprise to realize that's where she was. Really enjoyed that. The dynamic between her and the detective Brian is also really interesting, since he got her arrested. The cover is nice; I like the flower art but it doesn't tell me much about the book.
