I admit I didn't read the synopsis (just saw Tracey Lange's name and was excited) and it got me feeling curious: invoking the sound of the cell door, the familiar/monotonous routine of the last 500 days. I want to know what happened, how she got there, how it was, what she is doing next - all from that intro.
I really like how Tracey writes about family dynamics and the love but also raw feelings of it. And this one really starts off showcasing that precarious balance as Tara's sister is coming to pick her up.
