I really enjoyed The Companion, it was chilling, and really creeped me out at some points. I felt the need to look around my room to make sure no one was watching me. I liked the plot of the book and thought it wasn’t so easily guessable. It really was a page turner, I just couldn’t stop reading until I got to know what was happening and how it ended. It had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I do feel like I have read a book with a very similar concept, but still the book was unique enough for it not to be cliché. The epilogue seemed to be very rushed though, I wanted to know what happened to the father and to know more about what happened to Laura. Overall for a young adult thriller I highly recommend this, I think it would be a perfect spooky read for the upcoming fall season.
