I really should have loved this book, but I just didn’t like The Companion as much as I had hoped I would, but that being said, it was still really good. As enjoyable as this book was, I found it to be super predictable and the book dragged on through the middle section of the book and I found myself a bit bored which was disappointing for this genre. I loved the original storyline and appreciated all of the characters. This book overall was very well written. I think part of my problem with this particular book is that I’ve read other books by Katie Alender and I enjoyed them more than this one, but this book was still really good. If you like young adult horror books that are lighter and not super creepy, you should really enjoy this book. I will definitely be continuing to keep a look out for more books by this author. So I would say this is a really good book, but I wouldn’t reread it.
