This book was exceptional. I was shocked by how good this was. It had all the elements of a good mystery and the sinking feeling of a horror. I am really glad I got to read this one.
To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. I LOVED IT! I adored the way the story slowly creeps up on you until you know something is wrong but you are unable to determine what exactly is off.
I am not a fan of thrillers or horror books, they are just not genres that interest me. Luckily I managed to win an ARC of this book and so I gave it a chance. I am so glad that I did because it was unbelievably good. I devoured this book and I savored every moment of it.
It is not a gory book or a terrifying book. It is a book that gives you heeby jeebies and leaves you feeling unsettled. But it does it in a way that is masterful. The build-up, the suspense, I was honestly almost anxious while reading this, it was that well done.
