I won an advanced copy of this book during the Yallwest virtual book event. The premise sounded really good so I was excited to get started. Unfortunately this book is not a fast paced thriller in any way. Don't get me wrong, it is a well written, strong unique story, but if you have a hard time with more than necessary detail and really slow starts, this book may not be for you. I'm glad I read it, I just wish it didn't take me 2 months and finishing multiple books while I took long breaks because I just wasn't excited to read it. That said, the characters are very well written and this is definitely a creepy book, subtle creepy which is my favorite kind. Overall I liked this book, I just think it may have been better if around 50 pages shorter.
