Margot is still healing mentally and physically from the tragic accident that took her entire family, leaving her with no home or belongings. In comes the ever creepy Sutton/Copeland family to save the day and take on Margot as a “companion” for their ill child, Agatha. But there are many secrets that are uncovered, secrets that could cost her. Dun dun dunnnnn!
This is the first YA horror book I’ve ever read and it certainly won’t be my last. Katie Alender knows what she’s doing in that department! (Let’s be honest- I’m a bit of a wimp, so YA horror is probably more my jam). Throw in a tiny bit of romance and BAM, you have yourself a real winner!
I immediately felt a connection with Margot and felt her sadness through the pages. But through the sadness and pain came strength. I couldn’t help but become her biggest cheerleader.
This is one you won’t be able to put down and will find yourself racing through to see what happens.
