Very strong start. Jane Eyre vibes meets YA.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this sample but it sucked me right in. The writing style is dark and mysterious but very to the point and fast moving. The heroine is established through a first person perspective and so far I am open to continuing her story. The character of Tam is quite deranged, but she seems to have an only briefly featured presence. The sample ends right as Margot moves into a sprawling and creepy estate and right as we meet its inhabitants. Definitely considering this quirky late summer/early fall release.
