I wasn’t sure what I would find as I started reading the first impression of The Companion. Margot is traveling with her family. In one instant, she lost her family in a a car accident. After a stint in the Palmer House, she is sent to meet John and Laura Sutton. Margot’s father saved John’s life when they were in law school. We are introduced to the Sutton’s daughter who is a teen, like Margot, but the daughter does not communicate. Margot will be her companion. I instantly thought of Heidi who was taken away from her grandfather to be the companion to Clara. Can’t wait to read this book!
