In Regards to the cover, not sure what a spoonful of pins has to do with this novel. Without reading some kind of excerpt, the cover would not be enough to entice me to read the book.
However, after reading the first several chapters, I’m hooked. I find “The Companion” well written and certainly interesting. This is one novel I would definitely purchase. While this novel didn’t start as a typical horror novel, from the very beginning I felt myself invested in Margaret’s well-being and future. From the Palmer house to the Sutton house, I kept turning page after page wanting to find out what happens next And now I continue to crave more of “The Companion”.
