I love how this book just jumped right in. It allowed us to get intrigued just from the first page. The author’s style of writing makes it a page turner. The way she ends chapters hit us hard and we just needed more.

I also love the writing style of the author. It’s so fast paced but we grasp everything easily. I can tell already that this is going to be a book that you can fly through. Yet, that doesn’t mean that it won’t be hard-hitting. With the main character being an orphan in a type of orphanage and then being placed in a home, I know that this book will be impactful. We can already see how the Main Character has low self-esteem and depression and I’m looking forward (if that’s the right word for it) to how the author develops that and how she over comes it.

The author also does amazing at creating character personalities from the start. Within the first few interactions we feel like we know the characters and who they are. From the start we have a hatred or an attachment to certain characters. An author that can make me feel deep thoughts for certain people is a good author in my book. I love when a book can do that to me, and this book does.

The way the author describes things paints a clear picture in our mind, but it isn’t to intense that we feel the need to skim. And I’m really intrigued by the little twist we had. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of what this book has to offer and what happens next.

As for the cover, i'm not sure how it applies yet but I love the simplicity of it.
