The sneak peek for The Companion by Katie Alender is definitely intriguing. It starts out like any nice novel, nothing weird about it. The author sets the scene well and I like how she introduces characters and describes the world she wants us to imagine. It's not until the end of the First Look that we get a feeling that something is off and the last sentence definitely puts the nail in the coffin that this story will not be as it first appears.
