This hooks you in right from the start. I was instantly interested in Margot's story and background, and going from such a tragedy to an orphanage with girls who want nothing to do with her, to then all of a sudden being a ward of a very wealthy family. If being thrown into that situation wasn't unsettling enough, then she learns about the family's young daughter who has mysteriously taken in and was left in a sort of catatonic state, and Margot's to be her companion. You can tell that something is very off with the family and I can tell the story is going to get way more twisty and dark, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
