I'd like to start off by saying that was the perfect amount of text for a first look - intrigues you with the prologue, makes you feel emotion, sets up the story, and just when it starts getting interesting it cuts off, leaving you wanting more. I thought the writing style was simple and easy to follow - I wasn't intimidated by it. And even from the few chapters at the Sutton house you get the feeling something (or things) can go terribly wrong at any point. Definitely gave me an eerie feeling. Not my typical read, but I'd be willing to give it a try.
