I immediately felt sorry for Margot. Even though she was lucky enough to survive the accident, she is left with no one to care for her. Then once things start looking up with the Suttons, they start to get much worse. It seems like poor Margot can't catch a break. It makes me wonder if there is something wrong with her, or maybe its just the Suttons and their Gothic mansion? I am very intrigued by this book.
Based on the synopsis I would definitely read The Companion. It sounds like it would be perfect for any fans of horror or thrillers. I do not know how the cover relates to the book, but I think that is part of the intrigue.
