So it's listed as a YA horror, but honestly, at least in the first few chapters, there is no horror. It hints at it with a character, possibly being possessed, but also could simply be suffering from mental issues form some trauma or genetic malady.

The main character's, whole family dies on page 1, and she is thrust into an orphanage in her teen years. After spending some time there and being denied friendship from a housemate, a bloody freaking rich friend of her dead fathers, makes her his ward, and she is whisked off to the country estate to live there.

The rich people, are cliche, but also likeable, right up until the very last words of the excerpt, where they loose points with me. They laid out a deal for her to live there wich does seam fair, and then the last sentence just seemed condescending and thoughtless and kinda came out of left field to me. It does though fit in with the idea that this will be a horror book though so I guess that makes sense.

Note: I am not a horror genre person.
