The Cherry Robbers Sarai Walker, had a great sample so that compelled me to enter the giveaway. I won a copy and finally got a chance to check it out recently. It hooked me with the plot, the gothic aspect, and how it goes in between two different points in time. The setting and gothic elements were good but could have been better.
I enjoyed the writing style and the setting so much it kept me reading until the end, plus I felt connected to the characters the author crafted. I am always on the lookout for books with strong female characters and this was a good one for that. The plot grabbed me because I do love a good gothic story about breaking curses.
I will be checking out the debut novel by Sarai Walker and checking out future novels from her. Thank you bookishfirst and publisher for the chance to read this interesting novel.
