To start off, the cover is so much prettier in person.

As for the book, it's definitely deserving of those 5 stars. So it starts off post-trauma, showing Iris old and panicked over having to relive the worst times of her life. We learn about Iris's past through journal entries, with little flickers back into the present. I love those kinds of books- where you already kind of know how the character is going to end up, but still wonder a bit.

*spoilers*

So I'm going to start with Belinda. Her whole life was made up of things happening against her will. Hearing her dying mother's screams, marrying Henry, having babies, seeing ghosts, being sent to a psych ward, etc. It's just sad. She warned everyone about what was going to happen, and no one listened until it was too late. And the whole mess with EVERY single sister dying except Iris? I cried for each one. I knew it was going to happen, but it still hurt. I don't know how Sarai did it, but she made me feel as though I were Iris- going through the pain of losing my sisters, one by one. Okay, I don't want to spoil it all, but read this book. It's amazing, and I'm not saying that just because I got it for free. ( And Henry? I giggled when It was revealed how he died. Alone. FRICK YOU, HENRY, EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE FICTIONAL!!)
