The premise and plot of the book was good, and I am always appreciative of subtle LGBT representation. The style of writing kind of took away from the plot and left me confused, and the pacing is strange. The writing made me confused as to what time period the book is supposed to be in, in some pieces it mentions cars and computers but the main character writes like an old Victorian woman. The pacing rattles the reader between the past and present.
