I'm not sure how best to categorize The Cherry Robbers after reading this first impression - something of a mystery related to family secrets, possibly a building suspense thriller, elements of something supernatural or other-worldly - and it all works together in building intrigue and a sense of foreboding. Using a dual timeline, there are hints about what will happen in the future, but I'm curious to find out what happened between the protagonist's childhood to today - there's lots of questions to be answered!
