The description sounded vaguely interesting, but probably not a book I would've picked up to start reading. The first look, though, drew me in so quickly. The writing is clear and concise but still builds the atmosphere and emotions so well. Having grown up not far from Greenwich, CT (and with an artist mother who certainly shared Sylvia's take on tchotchkes with her art printed on them), I'm certainly excited to read more of the mystery.
