The Cherry Robbers is an incredibly gripping story of Sylvia Wren, a famous New Mexico artist with a dark past. Once Iris Chapel, an heiress of the Chapel gun manufacturing family, she is the sole survivor out of six sisters who all met untimely ends. This First Impression doesn't explain what happens to them all, but we know the wedding of the oldest sister puts the sinister events in motion.
The writing style is evocative and gripping and Walker does a great job of distinguishing each of the characters in vivid detail. The jacket cover is similarly interesting, with references to the Chapel gun legacy and the flowers that are the sisters' namesakes. This is sure to be a much anticipated read!
