I was very excited to get this new first novel by a very new author. Once I had finished reading it it took me some time to think about the storyline and the plot. The novel “The Changing Man” is well written but the plot and storyline as it developed was not extremely unique or even very complicated. However, the characters are very well developed and it was easy to feel as though you were getting to truly know them. At times I did find myself bored with repetitive facts, descriptions and what seemed to me to be unnecessary information. I will attribute this to a new author and I am sure good editing will allow for making the actual storyline flow seamlessly without being excessively and needlessly wordy. All in all once I had finished the book thought about it found this a book I would feel good about recommending to many young adult readers.
