This book started pretty good, took a bit of a turn, and still ended up pretty good. Ife is a very likeable character with an appropriate level of drive, intelligence, and flaws. Her relationships with Ben and B are also pretty realistic, with a normal amount of miscommunication.

I really enjoyed the first third to half of this book, when the changing man could've still been a human terror. When the supernatural elements hit, it wasn't really my thing, but the author still wrote it well. I'm willing to recognize this book may be a little lower than my reading level, but it was an enjoyable jaunt. I would have liked to see a bit more conversation between Ife and her parents, but the rest of the relationships make up for any lack of chemistry.

On a whole, this was a very fun, light read and I am neither disappointed nor left feeling I wasted any time.
