Ife Adebola is reluctantly the new kid at a posh boarding school that's haunted by the legend of The Changing Man. When her friend begins acting odd, Ife is forced to team up with classmates, Ben and Bijal, to uncover the secrets at Nithercott school. The mysteriousness surrounding the prologue had me on my toes from the beginning. The pace slowed again to introduce us to Ife and her life at Nithercott, but little by little strange things begin to happen that we, as the reader, are trying to tie together. Ife was such a realistic character for a teenager who's struggling with the change of starting a new school and figuring out who she is. The development of the friendship between the trio and the level they took their sleuthing had me wanting to read more to see what was going to happen between them!

This book for me had the pace and style of a movie or TV show especially the last half of it as we bounced through different scenes. There was an X-Files vibe to it that I wasn't expecting but played well into the plot. The twists and turns had me wondering when the next shoe was going to drop and definitely kept me on my toes. Definitely for fans of sci-fi and YA mystery thrillers.
