This was about a three star for me.
The book started off strong with a good hook. I was really interested in the way The Changing Man worked, as well as the lore behind it.
Then, getting into the book, it was a lot of teenage drama. I'm a fan of teen books, but this just felt... like scooby doo, in a boarding school? I'm not sure. Like it went from being a horror/thriller to almost nothing of that sort
About half way thru I got very bored and had to put the book down and read another. I did power through, and its about a 50/50 for me. I didnt hate it, but I didnt love it at the same time.
It lacked something. I'm not sure if it lacked what I was hoping would be a part of the book (more horror/thriller), or I just didnt really expect the book itself.
I have a bad habbit of not really liking a book if I put it down for a bit. I feel like as someone who can read a book in a day or two, its usually a three star if I do actually finish it.
