I really enjoyed this spooky, fun scary story. I went in to this story thinking it was gonna be just a ghost story but it took that prompt and ran with it so far it kinda took me out. I was not expecting what the big reveal of: who or what the changing man is. It honestly kind of took me out of the story for a minute. I really enjoyed the Characters, Ifa, Ben, and Bee were all very interesting and funny. They all had their flaws that they had to overcome by the end of the book. They're flaws start off as almost their singular personality trait but they really open up by the end of the book. Ifa has a lot of anxiety, she is the new kid at a very upscale boarding school and is also one of very few black kids on campus. She suffers from panic attacks regularly and uses bible qoutes to calm herself down. Her religion is important to her but it is not the center of the book and has no effect on the block, she just uses them as a calming method. She finds peice and comfort in her religion but it is not all of her. Over all I would reccomend this for anyone wanting a fun kinda scary read about some kids fighting some monsters, and just in time for spooky season!
