Overall this book was ok. It is a YA thriller, which isn't usually my genre, but I enjoyed most of it and it was an easy read. The last 50 pages or so is where the story really went off the rails for me. I like the setting being on a campus (although they use British grades, so I'm still not actually sure how old these kids are). By about half way through the book it was pretty obvious where the ending was heading, but I honestly didn't mind. I would definitely call it a "mild" thriller. There wasn't anything too scary or disturbing about it. One of my criticisms of the book is that the author too frequently uses stuttering in his dialogue. It got a little annoying to read when each character did that almost every time they spoke. I also felt that the book was a little wordier than in needed to be and probably could have been edited better to be a little more succinct. The ending was also just bizarre, and not in a good "makes you think" kind of way. I really had trouble following it. In general, it was a pretty easy read but I think the way the ending was written spoiled the book a bit.
